CHICAGO, November 2, 2009 - MedSpeed LLC, the

transportation partnership with Alexian Brothers Health System.
Founded in 1866, the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network is comprised
of four hospitals which serve the two million residents of
Chicago's growing Northwest suburbs.
Looking to simplify its transportation and logistics operations,
Alexian Brothers engaged in a search to identify a strategic
transportation partnership. "Our courier operations had become very
expensive and burdensome," said Patrick Trim, Vice President of
Supply Chain. "We wanted to consolidate our transportation network
and improve quality. MedSpeed analyzed our operations and found
that they could not only enhance service, but also provide cost

MedSpeed began working with Alexian Brothers in October 2009 and
grew its existing hub operations in Elmhurst, IL to support the
health system. With a 100% employee-based workforce, company owned

processes for the movement of specimens, pharmaceuticals, radiology
films, supplies, mail and medical records.
