The MedSpeed Story:
Moving Healthcare Forward
In 1999 our co-founder, Jake Crampton, entered the concept for
MedSpeed into the University of Chicago's New Venture Challenge. He
saw a void in healthcare - the absence of industry focused
transportation. The solution was a specialist that could improve
quality, decrease costs and create a strategic advantage for its
customers. The judges agreed and the concept took home the top
prize. Shortly thereafter, MedSpeed was born.
Through the years, MedSpeed has broadened its clinical
laboratory focus to include comprehensive solutions for health
systems and blood banks. It has also discovered better ways to
execute transportation with efficiency and developed technology to
meet the demands unique to this industry. What began as a modest
operation in the Chicago suburbs has grown into an industry leading
organization with locations across the country. Today, with proven
capabilities and a successful partnership model, MedSpeed is
realizing its broader goal of transforming medical transportation
nationwide.
